Rik Lever - Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar

Rick started playing guitar at 14 and played in numerous local bands before becoming lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in Thanos, where he went on to gig original material around the Stockport and Manchester areas. After meeting Gary, Thanos underwent further personnel changes before finally morphing into Healer and becoming the wedding/corporate covers act that they are today. Rik has a highly dynamic stage presence and definitely ensures that the audience is fully involved in a Healer show.

Gary Powell – Lead Guitar / Backing Vocals

Gary started playing at the age of 7 and made his paid stage debut at the age of 13. He studied Music ‘A’ Level and has Grade 8 guitar and Grade 6 piano qualifications. Gary played in a string of Manchester bands, during this time he toured nationally, performing at venues including The Marquee, and recorded with Producer/Engineer Leith Mathes (of ABBA, Led Zep and other credits). In 2001 Gary landed the same role in 60’s band Herman’s Hermits, who have sold over 64,000,000 records, performing to audiences of 5,000 plus. Today Gary uses all that hard-earned stage experience entertaining audiences with Healer.

Simon Crumley - Bass Guitar / Backing Vocals

Simon started playing guitar at 14 and graduated to the bass 3 years later. For over a decade Simon was Bassist for popular local Blues/Rock band Skeleton Crew. During this time the band recorded 4 albums and were a fixture on the British and European tour and festival circuits, supporting Jethro Tull, Whitesnake, Jools Holland and the late Rory Gallagher amongst others. As a sought after session player his touring duties have since included numerous European tours and even concerts as far a field as Moscow and the Arctic Circle. Healer sees Simon once again reunited with the drummer from his very first band... his brother Marc! This formative rhythm section pairing has evolved into the ‘Engine Room’ of Healer.

Marc Crumley - Drums

Marc has been playing the drums since the age of 9. His first taste of success came at 18 with jazz-fusion band President, whose single “Hand Power” was a huge club hit and featured on several radio stations’ Record Of The Week sections, including Radio 1. Marc has a very versatile and diverse repertoire, which sees him much in demand as a local session drummer, and over the years he has supported acts such as OMD, Echo and the Bunnymen, A Certain Ratio and Joy Division. Marc, along with his brother Si on bass, forms the driving rhythm section behind Healer.
